Fox Waterway Agency 1.4

The Fox Waterway Agency was established with the aim of enhancing and preserving the Fox River and Chain O'Lakes public waterway for recreational purposes, environmental restoration, flood management, tourism promotion, and overall improvement of the waterfront living standards for residents and visitors alike. The agency's jurisdiction covers the interconnected system of 15 lakes comprising the Fox River Chain O'Lakes, along with a 30-mile stretch of the Fox River from the Wisconsin State line to the Algonquin Dam, its tributaries, and more than 40 miles of navigable channels. Despite having a defined physical jurisdiction limited to the waterway, the Fox Waterway Agency's collaborative efforts with local property owners, organizations, and governmental bodies enable participation in numerous land-based initiatives impacting the waterway.
